An Addison Grove wedding is a beautiful choice for couples planning an outdoor wedding in the Texas Hill Country. With dedicated spaces for ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hour all on one property, it’s a venue where gorgeous scenery, convenience and variety all converge. Located just outside Austin, The Addison Grove is known for its oak grove setting and thoughtfully designed layout. The space makes it easy to focus on people, connection, and being present.

You may even find a unique detail at The Addison Grove that helps weave a part of you into your wedding day. For University of Texas alumni, the venue is home to longhorns, a nod to your iconic University of Texas mascot that adds a personal touch on site and make you feel right at home.

Amanda and Caleb’s summer wedding reflects how weddings at The Addison Grove are perfect for couples who want their day to be rooted in faith and meaning. As a local girl and Texas A&M alum, Amanda knew that she wanted a venue that felt close to home and focused on the people and the community that have been so important to them in their journey. The Addison Grove provided a gorgeous setting that allowed what mattered most to take center stage.

We’d love to give couples a closer look at what planning an Addison Grove wedding actually looks like, including the ceremony and reception spaces on-site, guest capacity, and how the venue’s layout supports a smooth, intentional wedding day. We hope it will help make clear why The Addison Grove works so well for couples who care about presence, flow, and a meaningful experience for their guests.

Why Couples Love The Addison Grove Wedding Venue

One of the defining features that makes The Addison Grove unique as a wedding venue is the oak grove itself. Beautiful Austin oaks surround the property, creating a sense of privacy that’s rare for a venue so close to the city. The ceremony space is intentionally set within the trees, which naturally separates it from the rest of the property and gives the space a quiet, tucked-away feeling.

For Amanda and Caleb, this setting felt especially meaningful. Their ceremony took place surrounded by the oaks, and the space carried a reverent and peaceful tone that perfectly reflected their faith-centered approach to marriage.

From a planning perspective, The Addison Grove is also incredibly functional. The layout flows well from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, which helps the day move naturally without a lot of logistical friction. That flow matters more than most couples realize. It’s often the difference between a day that feels rushed and one that feels grounded.

The Addison Grove Wedding Venue Overview

The Addison Grove wedding experience offers beautiful getting ready suites, several ceremony options and an open reception space, making it a flexible choice for medium to large weddings. If you’re a couple planning your wedding, we hope this will be a helpful guide for you!

Getting ready space

  •  Preparation Suites: On-site suites designed for getting ready before the ceremony, with a kitchen, dining table and multiple areas to get ready before the wedding. There’s even a beautiful view, with big oak trees and a pond just outside. (We loved using this area for bridal party portraits!)

Ceremony spaces

  • The Grove: An outdoor ceremony space set beneath mature oak trees. It’s a naturally private setting surrounded by beautiful greenery, and our personal favorite spot for a wedding ceremony. This area works especially well for couples who want an outdoor ceremony that feels intentional and tucked away.

  • The Pond: A second outdoor ceremony option overlooking the pond, offering a more open backdrop while still feeling connected to the surrounding landscape.

  • Indoor ceremony option: Couples also have the option to host their ceremony indoors within the venue’s main event space if weather or logistics require it. We love it when Austin outdoor wedding venues have a backup option!

Reception spaces

  • Main reception hall: The primary reception space is an indoor hall featuring high ceilings, exposed beams, statement lighting, and large glass doors that can be opened to create an indoor-outdoor atmosphere. This space comfortably accommodates dinner, dancing, and full reception layouts.

  • Covered outdoor porch: Connected to the reception hall is a covered outdoor porch that can be used for guest mingling, lounge seating, or additional reception flow.

  • Optional outdoor dining: The venue also allows for outdoor dining setups on the lawn, giving flexibility to couples who want their reception under the open sky.

A Meaningful Wedding Experience at The Addison Grove

What stood out most during Amanda and Caleb’s wedding was the feeling of the day. There was genuine laughter throughout, an ease among their guests, and a deep sense of care for the people gathered there. From Texas A&M friends to extended family and members of the community that have supported them along the way, it was a beautiful thing to have all their people present.

The Addison Grove supports this kind of experience because it encourages couples to slow down. The space doesn’t demand constant movement or over-structuring. When timelines are built with intention, there’s room for conversation, connection, and a really lovely wedding day.

As Austin wedding photographers, we’ve been a part of many Austin celebrations, and The Addison Grove wedding venue is one of our favorites for a reason.

"The Shens are absolutely the best photography team to work with!! Not only are their photos stunning and one-of-a-kind, but both Adam & Courtney make you feel like the star of the show on your wedding day. They meet with you before your wedding day to gauge what kind of vibe you want from your photos and what moments are most important to you. I could not have been happier with our photos and it was such a blessing we got our day captured by them!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

Planning Tips for an Addison Grove Wedding

  • Lean into the ceremony space. The oak grove is one of the strongest features of the venue. Keeping the ceremony design simple lets the setting speak for itself.

  • Build a relaxed timeline. The layout allows for smooth transitions. Take advantage of that by leaving breathing room between events.

  • Consider a statement moment. A getaway car or intentional portrait window can add personality without overwhelming the day.

  • Trust the natural light. The property photographs beautifully, especially when couples allow space for portraits without rushing.

  • Choose a photographer who is familiar with the venue. They will have experience and insight that will make the day flow smoothly.
